| NewsWhat Does Sigma Chi Mean to You? We recently asked brothers to answer the question "What does Sigma Chi mean to you?". Thank you to Ron "Fox" Smith '59 for sharing the following... "Arriving at Penn in September of 1955, I thought that I had been given wings by my local high school, believing to be an eagle, but in reality only a fledgling - unfathomable to me at that time. But it was the four years at 3809 Locust Street that prepared me for the flight of life which we all embarked on upon graduation, each flying in a different direction, each at a different speed and altitude, each thinking himself capable of carrying a message to Garcia. Surely many succeeded, some failed, and some were struck by the Fates, descending into banality. But all of us were prepared for the flight, each in a unique way, nonetheless better equipped than Icarus." Click on the headline to read more. What does Sigma Chi Mean to YOU? Bryan Angley ’58 writes, "It was an interesting New Year's Eve with my wife Sharyn hinting of new life on the horizon at about 11:30 p.m. It was confirmed after the ball dropped and we headed toward Times Square - 58th and 10th Avenue to be exact – at St. Luke's Roosevelt hospital. Brant Drohan Angley was born at 6:44 am New Year's Day, coming in at 8lbs 10oz with a toe to head reach of 21.5 inches. With all healthy, we were granted an early release and are currently at home. Miles and Gage love their new brother. Happy New Year!" We want to know what's new with you too! Click here to submit your update. All News |
